On April 19, 2007 FBI Special Agent Tom Simon donated a kidney to a stranger named Brenda Lagrimas. The details surrounding the surgery and the story of what brought Brenda and Tom together are detailed in the early entries of this blog.

Where are you??? Please update. You're so much fun to read! I get to be a non directed kidney donor too. This will be my 3rd organ loss in 6 months (the others were not given to anyone else...that I know of. I don't supose they would transplant a gallbladder full of stones or a well used uterus into another, would they?!). I'm so excited for it.
And funny enough, after that, my husband is going to register for the bone marrow transplant. I'd love to know how that went for you, if it went for you! I hear it's another easy recovery. I truly love finding people that all this makes sense to. LOVE IT! Anyways, hope you are well. UPDATE! Please. : )

Thanks for the kind words, Nicki. I don't update much since I'm trying to keep this blog a straightforward account of what happened to Brenda (my recipient) and myself. No news is good news.
The bone marrow donation never occured because they found a better match than me. I hope The Kid is doing well.
Good luck with your own donation. thanks for stepping up to be a hero.
